A LABOURER. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 4.5 INCHES TALL, 119 LBS WEIGHT, 34-36 INCH CHEST, BROWN EYES, BROWN HAIR & CHURCH OF ENGLAND RELIGION.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 27/11/1917. POSTED TO FRANCE AND TRANSFERRED TO THE 15TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY ON 13/06/1918. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 24/08/1918, AGED 19. HE HAD SERVED IN THE ARMY FOR A TOTAL OF 271 DAYS, INCLUDING 75 DAYS AT THE FRONT.
