Born Tibthorpe, Yorkshire, 1899, Son of George and Eliza Speck, of Tibthorpe, Driffield and 45, Scarborough Road, Driffield. A Farm labourer.
He enlisted in Hull. Served in the 21st Manchester Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/10/1918, aged 19.
His army effects were left to his mother, Eliza.
