SERVED IN INDIA FOR SIX YEARS (1911 CENSUS). DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 8 INCHES TALL, 132 LBS WEIGHT, 36-39 INCH CHEST, GREY EYES, LIGHT BROWN HAIRHE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 3/7650, 3RD EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED ON 30/07/1915. LISTED IN SOLDIERS AS DIED ON 20/07/1915, AND IN CWGC RECORDS AS DIED ON 30/07/1915. BURIED AT HULL’S HEDON ROAD CEMETERY. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TOHIS WIDOW, LOUISA AND THEN TO MRS LAVINIA ELLIS COLLEY.
