Stokoe, Crawford

Born Headingley, Leeds, 1896. Son of Thomas Stokes (1843-1921) and Louisa Brace (1866-1941), of 13, Alliance Avenue, Hull (War Pension Address).

He enlisted in Leeds. Served as Private, with the 1/5th, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales’s Own), in Egypt and France. Killed in action, on 01/07/1916, aged 19. His army effects were left to his half brother, Reginald.
