He enlisted in Hull. Served as Sergeant in the 10th West Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/04/1917, aged 25. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.
His younger brother, Private, William Taylor, 19107, 2nd Royal Scots, had been killed a week earlier, on 13/04/1917, aged 19. He is buried at Duisans British Cemetery, France.
