BORN HULL 1897. SON OF CHARLES EDWARD & LOUISE TAYLOR, OF 7 ARTHUR’S TERRACE WELLINGTON LANE, HULL. SON OF A MEAT SALESMAN. PRIOR TO ENLISTING, HE WORKED FOR LEONARD’S, BUTCHERS, HULL MARKET PLACE.

HE SERVED AS A DRIVER, IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. HAD BEEN IN FRANCE FOR ONE YEAR. DIED OF WOUNDS RECEIVED ON 26TH APRIL 1917, AGED 20. HE IS BURIED AT THE ETAPLES MILITARY HOSPITAL, FRANCE.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH, IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 18TH MAY 1917. *
HIS ELDER BROTHER, PTE, FREDERICK ATKINSON TAYLOR, EYR, SERVED IN FRANCE & WORKED FOR THE HULL CO-OP SOCIETY, JARRATT STREET. THEY LEFT BROTHERS, ARTHUR RUSSELL, HENRY EDWARD TAYLOR AND SISTER, FLORENCE LOUISE TAYLOR.
