BORN HULL 1886. SON OF GEORGE TAYLOR (1861-1940) AND MARY ELIZABETH BOOTH (1864-1936). SON OF A SECONG HAND FURNITURE DEALER. HE MARRIED AT GLANFORD, BRIGG, LINCOLNSHIRE IN 1905 AGED 19. HUSBAND OF ANNIE (FROUD). THEY LIVED AT 8 BLUNDELL TERRACE, BLUNDELL STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS)  HAD TWO SONS, JOSEPH AND JAMES. EMPLOYED AS A PAINT MACHINE WORKER AT THE BLUNDEL’S FACTORY, HULL.

ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 15TH/17TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 28/08/1918, AGED 32. BURIED IN FRANCE.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ANNIE AT 20 PARROTT STREET, 59 MULGRAVE STREET AND LATER MOVED TO & 320 HIGH STREET, EAST LEIGH, DEVON.

HIS BROTHER, HAROLD WAS AN OIL MILLER & PAINT GRINDER, WHO ENLISTED IN THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT AND TRANSFERRED AS 34934, MACHINE GUN CORPS. LIVED AT 17 WILFREDS TERRACE, WESTBOURNE STREET, HULL (ARMY RECORDS ADDRESS).
