Thompson, John Paul

Born Dublin 21/06/1891. Son of John Frederick Thompson and Mary Frances Thompson, of 7, Kimberley Avenue, Symons Street, Hull and Baslams Old Farm House, Gipsyville, Hull (war Pension address). Son of a Singer Sewing Machine Agent. He had four brothers and four sisters. He worked as a Dock Labourer. Described as 5 foot, 3.5 inches tall, 37 inch chest, brown eyes, brown hair, sailor tattoos on both arms.

He enlisted in the Royal Navy, on 26/04/1910. Served as Leading Stoker, of HMS “Hercules”. Discharged on 02/02/1916. Died at Skipton, West Yorkshire, on 01/06/1916, aged 25. He is not recorded in CWGC records.
