Brantingham WW1 Memorial Plaque

BORN BRANTINGHAM 1900. YOUNGEST CHILD OF  WILLIAM CHARLES THORNHAM (1865-1929) & LOUISA DOUGHTY (1865-1934), OF 52, WALMSLEY STREET, HULL, (1911 CENSUS) AND 4, WARNE STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD FOUR ELDER BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS.

HE SERVED IN THE 51ST TRAINING BATTALION, NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. DIED OF PNEUMONIA, AT HOME, ON 15/07/1918, AGED 18. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER WILLIAM.

HE IS LISTED ON THE WALMSLEY STREET ROLL OF HONOUR PUBLISHED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 16TH OCTOBER 1917.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE BRANTINGHAM WW1 MEMORIAL TABLET, WHICH RECORDS 12 NAMES.
