BORN HULL 1888. SON OF WILLIAM AND HANNAH TINDLE, OF 30 BISHOP LANE, HULL. SECOND OF FIVE SONS. A WAREHOUSEMAN. ENLISTED HULL. SERVED IN THE 6TH EAST YORKSHIRE PIONEERS REGIMENT. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 21/08/1917, AGED 29.
BURIED AT DIVISIONAL COLLECTING POST CEMETERY AND EXTENSION, BELGIUM.

HIS ELDEST BROTHER, JOHN TINDLE, SERVED IN THE DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY, AND WAS DISCHARGED AS UNFIT IN 1917.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, CHRISTOPHER BELL TINDLE, 17781, 8TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 14/07/1916, AGED 22.

HIS BROTHER, LANCE CORPORAL, WALTER HENRY TINDLE, 33461, 9TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 20/09/1917, AGED 25.

HIS YOUNGEST BROTHER, FRANK TINDLE, BORN 1899, SURVIVED THE WAR.
