BORN NORTH KELSEY, LINCS, 1876. SON OF THE LATE GEORGE (1831-1897) & MARY TRAFFORD (1836-1927), OF BECK HOUSE, NORTH KELSEY, BRIGG, LINCOLNSHIRE.

MARRIED AT GROMSBY, IN 1905. HIS WIFE REBECCA (THOMPSON) TRAFFORD LIVED AT 5 FREEHOLD TERRACE, COURTNEY STREET, HULL. HE ENLISTED IN LINCOLN. HAD SERVED IN SOUTH AFRICA AND SOMALILAND. WORKED AS A DOMESTIC GARDNER IN CLEETHORPES (1911 CENSUS).

SERVED AS A CORPORAL WITH THE 6TH LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT DURING THE WAR. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/09/1916, AGED 40.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, REBECCA AND 4 CHILDREN.
