Born Hull 1849. Son of John Turnbull and Sarah Goldsac. He married Mary Ann Westell and had six children. They lived at 13 Beech Grove Princes Rd Hull (1911 Census). This was his 1915 Electoral Address. He received Ship’s Master Certificate, on 19/02/1873. Lost on the vessel “LUCIDA”, on 31/01/1915, aged 65. Commemorated on the Hessle Road, Naval memorial, Hull.
