BORN WILBERFOSS, EAST YORKSHIRE, 1889. SON OF GEORGE THOMAS TURNER & ELIZABETH JONES, OF WILBERFOSS, YORKSHIRE.

HE WORKED FOR FOUR YEARS AS A NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY RULLYMAN AT THE HULL GOODS STATION.

HE MARRIED JANE HUSBAND, AT HULL, ON 7TH JUNE 1915. HIS WIFE JANE, LIVED AT 88 , GLASGOW STREET, HULL, (CWGC AND WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED AT HULL, IN APRIL 1916. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 32/608, NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 15TH YORK AND LANCASTER REGIMENT. DIED OF GAS WOUNDS, ON 02/08/1917, AGED 28, AT NO:2 CANADIAN GENERAL HOSPITAL. BURIED AT LE TREPORT, FRANCE.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 05/09/1917.

COMMEMORATED AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, NEWINGTON, HULL.
