Husband of Henrietta Elizabeth Turner (born 5/11/1882), of 19, Arundel Street, Holderness Road, Hull (War Pension address).
They had four children, Charles Edward Kerr, Catherine Elizabeth Stratton Kerr, William Henry Stratton Kerr, and John Archibald George Carter, all born between 1903-1911.
He enlisted at Huntingdon. Posted to France, on 23/11/1914. Served with the 1st King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Died of wounds, on 27/07/1916, aged 35.
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. His army effects were left to his widow, Henrietta Elizabeth, She married on 26/12/1917 and became Mrs Devine.
