BORN HULL 1900. SON OF JOHN EDWARD AND RACHEL TURNER OF 5 CARLTON TERRACE, BOULEVARD, HULL, (CWGC ADDRESS). EMPLOYED WITH MESSRS LOCKING & SCOTT, AS AN ACCOUNTANT’S CLERK AT PARLIAMENTS STREET. EDUCATED AT CONSTABLE STREET SCHOOL & HULL TECHNICAL COLLEGE, PARK STREET. CONNECTED WITH THE BOULEVARD BABTIST CHURCH. ENLISTED 17/09/1917. JOINED THE ROYAL FLYING CORPS, IN OCTOBER 1917. MADE VERY SATISFACTORY PROGRESS. HE DIED IN HASTINGS OF SPINAL MENINGITIS, AGED 18. HE WAS BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 1ST FEBRUARY 1918. *
