Wainman, Thomas Arthur

BORN HULL 1889. SON OF JOHN WAINMAN (1852-1929) & ELIZABETH CLARISSA COATES (1853-1928). BROTHER OF HERBERT & CATHERINE.

EMPLOYED AS A RAILWAY PORTER AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY CRANEMAN, AT HULL DOCKS.

HE MARRIED FLORENCE IN HULL, 1909. THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN. LIVED AT 3, ROSAMOND TERRACE, ROSAMOND STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 3, CRYSTAL AVENUE, MASSEY STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A DRIVER, IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTLLERY. DIED OF PNEUMONIA, IN FRANCE, ON 03/11/1918, AGED 29 (HDM 03/11/1919).

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED WITH OTHER RAILWAY WORKERS IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 07/12/1919.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH MEMORIAL, NEWINGTON, HULL.
