BORN HULL 1898. SECOND SON OF MARY GREENWOOD (1863-1942) & THE LATE THOMAS WALL (1859-1927), OF 347, ANLABY ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). ONE OF FOUR CHILDREN. HE HAD TWO BROTHERS, TOM AND VICTOR, AND ONE SISTER, ENID MARY WALL. HIS FATHER WAS A RETAIL CHEMIST. HE WAS A STUDENT.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 50322, WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 18TH NORTHUMBERLAND (TYNESIDE) FUSILIERS. KILLED IN ACTION, 17/04/1918, AGED 20.
BURIED: Mont Noir Military Cemetery, St. Jans-Cappel, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France.
