BORN GREAT YARMOUTH, NORFOLK, 1858. SON OF CAPTAIN, CHARLES EDWIN WARRANT (1827-1894) AND ELIZABETH ANN CORNELL (1839-1915). HIS FATHER DIED AT SEA IN 1894. HIS MOTHER DIED IN 1915, AGED 76.

HE JOINED THE MERCHANT NAVY ON 23/10/1872, AGED 14. HE MARRIED ELIZABETH CORMACK (1872-1915), AT ST MATHEWS CHURCH, HULL ON 27/03/1894. HIS WIFE ELIZABETH CORMACK, LIVED AT 31 PERRY STREET, HULL, WITH THEIR SON HAROLD, BORN 1901. HE WAS A SHIP’S SKIPPER AND A MASTER MARINER. HE DIED AT SEA, ON 07/02/1915, AGED 57. THIS WAS HIS PROBATE ADDRESS. HE LEFT £280 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIFE, WHO HERSELF DIED ON 07/02/1915, LEAVING £161 TO EDWARD JOHN WILLIAMS, A LABOURER.

THERE IS NO CWGC RECORD OF SKIPPER. WARRANT. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL TIMES, ON 27/02/1915, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
HIS SON HAROLD WILLIAM WARRANT, DIED AT SEA IN 1943 AND IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TOWER HILL MEMORIAL, LONDON.
