BORN HULL 1891. LIVED GLASGOW. ENLISTED AYR. SON OF HENRY WILSON WATSON (1855-1929) & MARGARET RAMSEY GLEN, OF 3 FREDERICK TERRACE, NORNABELL STREET, HULL (1901 CENSUS). BOTH PARENTS CAME FROM SCOTLAND. HIS FATHER WAS A HAIRDRESSER IN HULL. THE FAMILY LATER LIVED AT AT ASHTON UNDER LYME AND BLYTHSWOOD,  GLASGOW.

HE ENLISTED IN AYR. SERVED AS CORPORAL IN THE 2ND ROYAL SCOTS FUSILIERS. KILLED AT YPRES, ON 23/10/1914, AGED 23. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS SISTER, MAGGIE.

HE IS RECORDED IN THE DE RUVIGNY ROLL OF HONOUR, VOLUME 2.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, GEORGE CREECH WATSON, 13TH LIVERPOOL REGIMENT, DIED OF WOUNDS, AT LONDON HOSPITAL, ON 02/08/1916, AGED 19. HE WAS BORN IN MANCHESTER.
