HE HAD JOINED THE YEOMANRY ONLY A FEW DAYS BEFORE, WHEN HE COLLAPSED AND DIED SUDDENLY WHILST ON DRILL AT THE HULL FAIRGROUND. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HDM ON 22/02/1915. ONE OF 18 NAMES LISTED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL, IVY LANE HEDON.
