BORN ST HELENS, LANCASHIRE, 1888. LIVED HULL. SON OF GEORGE WEBSTER (1847-1915) AND MARTHA McCARROLL (1851-1933), OF GREENFIELD ROAD, ST HELENS, LANCASHIRE.

BEFORE THE WAR, HE WAS A SHOP ASSISTANT, LIVING AT 344 BOULEVARD, HULL (1911 CENSUS) WHEN WAR BEGAN.

HE MARRIED LILIAN MAUD KING, AT HULL, IN 1913. ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE CITY OF LONDON RIFLES AND DIED OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS, ON 18/11/1916, AGED 28.

HE LEFT WIDOW, LILIAN (LATER NEEDLER) AND SON, WILLIAM PHILIP WEBSTER (BORN 11/04/1915), AT 186 HAWTHORNE AVENUE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HIS DEATH WAS ALSO REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 28TH NOVEMBER 1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
