Born Pontefract, 1896. Son of John and Julianna Westwood, of 18, Faith Street, South Kirby, Wakefield, Yorkshire. he worked as a rope boy underground in the coal mines.
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 2nd KOYLI. Posted to France, on 17th June 1915. Killed in action, on 05/09/1915, aged 20.
