White, Horace David

Born Aston, Warwick, 14/04/1895. Third Son of Sarah and Edward William White, of 8, De Grey Terrace, Anlaby Road, Hull (War Pension address). He had three brothers and three sisters. Worked as an Electrical Engineer.

Enlisted Birmingham, on 29/08/1914. Served in the 7th Bn. King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Posted to France, on 19/05/1915. Killed at Ypres, on 30/07/1915, aged 20. He is commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.

His father, Private, Edward William White, 388276, Royal Army Service Corps, was discharged from the war in June 1918, with the Silver War Badge and died on  24 Mar 1924
