BORN BEVERLEY 19/02/1892. SON OF JAMES WILD (1840-1912) & MARY SANDERS (1847-1918), OF 8 ASH TREE GROVE, HOME CHURCH LANE, BEVERLEY, EAST RIDING. SON OF A RETIRED COAL MERCHANT. HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND SEVEN SISTERS.
EMPLOYED AS AN ACCOUNTS CLERK FOR MR SCOTT, ACCOUNTANTS, HULL. FATALLY WOUNDED AT YPRES. THE 2ND LIFE GUARDS BATTALION DIARY RECORDS THAT THE HULL ACCOUNTANT WAS KILLED BY A SNIPER. DIED OF WOUNDS AT NO:2 FIELD AMBULANCE, ON 06/02/1915, 7,30PM.
HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 18TH FEBRUARY 1915. *
