WORKED AS A LABOURER. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6.5 INCHES TALL, 35-37 INCH CHEST, BLUE EYES, BROWN HAIR, WESLEYAN RELIGION.

MARRIED AT ST MARK CHURCH, HULL, 1918. HUSBAND OF ANN MILLS SUMMERS (1898-1971), OF 76, LIME STREET, THE GROVES, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS) & CHALFONT, GLOUCESTER.

ENLISTED AT HULL, ON 9/1/1915. SERVED IN THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE “ANSON” BATTALION, ROYAL NAVAL DIVISION, ON 15/6/1917. DIED ON 30/09/1918, AGED 21. COMMEMORATED ON THE VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL, FRANCE.
