Born Patrington, 1898. Son of Charles Wilkins (1870-1943) and Annie Jane Wilkinson (1869-1955), of 2, Villa Terrace, Grange Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had one brother.
He enlisted in Hull. Formerly 4173, East Yorkshire Regiment. Transferred to the 1/5th Border Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/04/1917, aged 19.
His brother Samuel Wilkins 241912, also of the 1/5th Border Regiment, was killed on 01/10/1916, aged 23 and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial France.
Their parents had lost both children in the war.
