Born St Mary’s, Durham. Second son of Charles and Amelia Williamson, of 56, Victor Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 52, Kent Street, Holderness Road, Hull (WAar Pension Address). He had four brothers and four sisters. Like his father, he worked as a bricklayer.
He enlisted in Hull. Served as Sapper, in the 529th Field Coy, Royal Engineers. Died of wounds, on 21/05/1917, aged 23. Buried at Etaples Cemetery, France.
