BORN HULL 05/04/1871. SON OF JOHN HENDICK WILLIAMSON, A WHEELWRIGHT AND MOTHER SARAH, AT THIS ADDRESS. EDUCATED IN HULL. WORKED AS A TRAWLER ENGINEER.

HE MARRIED AT HULL, ON 08/12/1893. HIS WIFE, ANNIE E. NEADLEY, LIVED AT 146 , WOODCOCK STREET, HULL & 95 EASTBOURNE STREET, HULL.
HE ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL NAVY, ON 26/05/1915. POSTED TO MINESWEEPERS, AS CHIEF ENGINEER. DIED OF SHOCK, ON 16/08/1915, AGED 44, WHEN HIS SHIP COLLIDED AT SULVA BAY, GALLIPOLI. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND THREE CHILDREN, CHARLES, HARRY AND ANNIE.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL. ALSO LISTED ON ST JOHN THE BAPTIST WAR MEMORIAL, NEWINGTON, HULL.
HIS DEATH WAS RECORDED IN THE DE RUVIGNY ROLL OF HONOUR, VOLUME 2 AND REPORTED IN THE HULL TIMES, ON 28/08/1915, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
