BORN THORNGUMBALD 1897. ENLISTED HULL. SON OF MARY ANN TUTTON & GEORGE ALONZO WILLINGHAM, OF BURSTWICK, PATRINGTON. EMPLOYED AS A FARM LAD BEFORE THE WAR.

HE ENLISTED HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 20097 EAST YORKSHIRE YEOMANRY. TRANSFERRED TO THE 22ND MACHINE GUN CORPS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 26/10/1917, AGED 20. HE WAS MENTIONED IN DESPATCHES. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 13/06/1918.
