Wilson, Alfred Gordon

Born Bridlington 1889. A bricklayer. Enlisted Bridlington. Resided Beverley. Killed at Gallipoli. Husband of Mrs. Edith Ellen. Anstee (formerly Wilson), of 40 Keldgate, Bevverley (War Pension Address) and 5, Vowler Street, Walworth, London. His army effects were left to his widow, and two daughters.

His CWGC grave inscription, reads, “HE GAVE HIS ALL BUT NOT IN VAIN”
