BORN HULL 1880. SON OF GEORGE & SELINA WILSON, OF 41 RUSSEL STREET, HULL. A TRAM DRIVER, ON THE HULL SPING BANK ROUTE, FOR MANY YEARS.

HUSBAND OF EVA WILSON, OF 5 MANVERS STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 24, EXMOUTH STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD ONE DAUGHTER ENID BORN ON 9TH JULY 1909.

HE WAS PROMOTED TO INSPECTOR. HE SERVED WITH THE 10TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. SEVERLEY WOUNDED ON 12/10/1917. DIED OF LEG WOUNDS, ON 04/12/1917, AGED 38. HE HAD BEEN IN FRANCE FOR 16 MONTHS, AND LOOKING FORWARD TO LEAVE.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIFE, EVA WILSON & DAUGHTER AT 24, EXMOUTH STREET, NEWLAND AVENUE, HULL.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL AT ST JOHNS CHURCH, NEWLAND, HULL.
