Wilson, Harold

Born Hull 1895. Son of Albert and Elizabeth Wilson, of 48, Raywell street, Hull (War Pension Address). his father worked for the British Gas and Light company. his nother was born in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.

A Printer and general labourer. Described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 124 lbs weight, 35 inch chest, blue eyes, brown hair.

He enlisted in the Hull Pals, on 14/09/1914. Served in Egypt and France, with the 12th East Yorkshire Regiment. Wounded in the left leg and right foot in April 1918. Died of wounds on 11/04/1918. His army effects were returned to his mother. They included a pipe, tobacco pouch, photo and two unopened letters.

Unmarried. He had one brother, Fred Wilson, 203515, EYR, who was also killed in the war, aged 20, and one sister, Ivy.

There are War pension records, but no CWGC record of his death.
