HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 08/12/1915. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 2 INCHES TALL, 118 LBS WEIGHT, 34 INCH CHEST. SERVED IN “C” COMPANY, THE 4TH NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION ON 10/04/1918, AGED 31. HE IS BURIED ON THE SOMME, FRANCE.
