BORN HULL 1896. SON OF SAMUEL (1840-1917) & MARTHA WOLFE (1859-1937). SON OF A SHIP YARD LABOURER. BROTHER TO SAMUEL WOLFE AND SISTERS MARTHA AND MARY JANE. HE WAS A RECKITTS WORKER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE EAST YORKSHIRE TRAINING BATTALION. DIED OF HEART FAILURE, AT BEDLINGTON, UK, ON 23/03/1916, AGED 20. A SINGLE MAN. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER MARTHA, AT 12, WOOLARTON TERRACE, DANSOM LANE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE IS BURIED AT HULL’S HEDON ROAD CEMETERY. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON HULL’S DANSOM LANE MEMORIAL AND RECKITT FACTORY WW1 MEMORIAL.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, 33427, SAMUEL WOLFE, SERVED WITH THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. AND WAS DISCHARGED IN 1919 WITH DISABILITY. HE LIVED AT 8 COURTNEY STREET, HULL, WITH HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN. (PENSION LEDGER ADDRESS)
