Husband of Harriet Rebecca Wood, of Welnwick, Patrington. They had three children.
He enlisted in Hull. Formerly T/4/036665, R.A.S.C. Transferred as Lance Corporal, 2nd Yorkshire Hussars (Alexandra, Princes of Wales’ Own). Killed in action, on 08/05/1918, aged 29. Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
His brother, Lance Corporal, Samuel Hercliff Wood, 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment, died of wounds, on 04/05/1915, aged 37.
