Patrington WW1 Memorial Tablet, St Patrick’s Church, Patrington. 111 men served and 24 died in WW1

Born Out Newton, Yorkshire, on 20/02/1890. Son of Edward (1862-1944) and Fanny Bosman (1870-1930), of Clarke’s Lane, Patrington, Hull. When Fred Bosman Worrall was born on 20 February 1890, his father, Edward, was 27 and his mother, Fanny, was 20. He had three brothers and three sisters.

Employed as a Railway Porter.

He enlisted on 25/10/1915 ; Drafted for the British Expeditionary Force (BEF), on 06/09/1916. Joined the Anson Battalion, on 26/11/16-14/3/17

Had a Carbuncle on his Back and was invalided to the UK , on 22/03/1917 ;

Drafted for the British Expeditionary Force again, on 15/06/1917,  Re-joined the Anson Bn., on 14/07/1917 to the 24/11/1917.

Contracted Tetanus, and invalided to the UK, on  06/01/1918 ;

Drafted back to the BEF, on 01/04/1918, Re-joined the Anson Bn., on  07/04/1918 to when he was killed in action, on 08/10/1918, aged 28.

He is commemorated on the Patrington ww1 Memorial and at the  St Patrick Church there.
