Born Hull. 1886. Son of Joseph Wray (1849-1929) and Sarah Ann Nelthorp (1861-1919)
He married Emily Ann Fox (1888-1962) at Hull, in October 1907. Husband of Emily Wray, at 5, Victoria Terrace, De La Pole Avenue, Hull (War Pension address). They had eight sons and a daughter. He worked as a Bargeman
Served with the 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment. Discharged on 26 Apr 1919. Died of Malaria from active service, on 26 May 1924. Buried at Hull Hedon Road Cemetery.
