Wrigglesworth, James

Born Hull 1885. Son of George Wrigglesworth (1856-1905) and Emily Hutchinson (1857-1927), of 34, Hudson Street, Hull.

Married at Hull, in 1904, aged 19. Husband of Kate Lilian Brankling (24/8/1887-1939), who was born in Castleford, Yorkshire. They lived at. 3, Fredericks Terrace, St Paul Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 14, Princes Terrace, Nornabell Street, Hull. 1918 (War pension address). They had five children, three of which died in their first year. Their sons were George William and James Wrigglesworth.

He worked as an Oil Mill Labourer.

He enlisted in Hull. Served as a Gunner 770898, in the Royal Field Artillery. Died of wounds,  on 02/10/1918, aged 33.

Buried at Hancourt British Cemetery, Somme, France. His widow Kate, was awarded a weekly war pension, of 11/8 shillings, on 15 April 1919.
