Wright, Charles Robert

Born Hull, 3/9/1886. Son of Alice and Charles Robert Wright, of 10, Florence Avenue, Somerscales Street, Hull (Army and war Pension address)

Enlisted in the 1st East Riding Territorials, on 26/04/1904. In civilian Life he was a Tinner’s labourer. Described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 36 inch chest, very good character.

Called up as a reservist on 5/8/1914. Served with the 1/4th EYR & 25th Durham Light Infantry during the war. Discharged as medically unfit on 10/3/1916., after 7 years army service. he died in Hull in 1928.

Married at Sculcoates, Hull, in 1908. His wife Alice Lazenby and three children lived at 17, Albert Terrace, Alexandra Street, Hull (1911 census).
