BORN KENT 1884. MARRIED 24/06/1908. HIS WIFE LILLY (DENTON) & SONS ARTHUR, CYRIL. ANNIE FLORRIE & LARRIE, LIVED AT 40 ETON STREET, HULL (1918 ABSENT VOTERS). HE DROWNED OFF FLAMBORO’ THROUGH A COLLISION. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL, KENT.

The Thomas Cornwall was a steam trawler taken over by the Admiralty, whilst under construction at Lobnitz, and converted into an armed patrol vessel. The HMT THOMAS CORNWALL was based at Grimsby and was lost following a collision with an un-named vessel, during an East Coast patrol, off Filey Bay on 29/10/1918
