Born Bournemouth, 1 Dec 1898. Son of Frederick John Young and Annie Tedd, of Son of Frederick John and Annie Young, of 6, Salisbury Rd., Boscombe, Bournemouth.. Educated there. Apprenticed to Boscombe Pharmaceutical Chemists. Joined the 37th Training Reserve Battalion, in March 1917. Transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, in August 1917. Gazetted to Second Lieutenant, Royal Air Force, on 21/02/1018, being posted to Beverley Flying School.
Died at Cottage Hospital, Beverley on 31/08/1918, as a result of a flying accident that day. He was aged 19. Buried St Nicholas Churchyard, in Beverley.
