WORKED AS A SEAMAN SINCE 15/10/1877. PRESUMED DROWNED ON 5/06/1917. HE LEFT £616 TO HIS WIDOW AT THIS PROBATE ADDRESS. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON TRINITY HOUSE MEMORIAL.

On June 5th, 1917, the British steel cargo ship TAPLOW, built in 1904 by Ropner & Sons Ltd. and owned at the time of her loss by Watts, Watts & Co.
